Smiles Stone Town Hotel is a new modern and mix of Zanzibar cultural Hotel located along Malindi Street in the heart of stone town and overlooking the main gate of harbour. The Building has a long History rich in traditional facts of Zanzibar. Originally the Government acquired it in 1926 to accommodate subordinate staff for harbour work schemes. In 1923 the Government turned it to a khojah Merchant dealing in cloves and copra who made substantial changes and repair to the original structure. Now the building has been renovated and turned into a new modern and mixture of Zanzibar culture.
